Red Sparrow – Ground Floor

A sense of relaxation and tranquillity greets customers as they walk into Red Sparrow in Coffs Central where the walls are lined with delicious smelling teas and gorgeous tea-ware.

Owner Bridgette Vartiainen has been living in Coffs Harbour for ten years and started her tea business in local markets before making her dreams a reality by opening the store in Coffs Central.

“From the reaction I get from customers it’s not just about the tea, it’s the good feeling that comes with it. People love the process of making tea and I feel like I’m doing something to help people find that happy place,” Bridgette said.

As a boutique store, Bridgette sources teas from around the world including India, China, Japan and Germany which are all packaged locally.

“The best sellers include French Earl Grey and green teas like Japanese Garden which is a peach green tea. Many local cafés are serving tea from Red Sparrow, including several in Coffs Central.”
