Blooming in Her 60s

Vicki’s Story of Love, Creativity, and New Beginnings

Starting a business doesn’t have an age limit, and Vicki is living proof. In her early 60s, Vicki decided it was finally time to put her creativity first and launch the passion project she’d carried in her heart for years. With a fresh chapter ahead and a whole lot of love and inspiration behind her, she’s embracing entrepreneurship with energy, purpose, and a beautifully artistic vision. Q: Can you tell us how your creative journey began and what inspired you to start your own business?

A: It has always had a deep passion for creativity – it’s where I feel most like myself. Using my hands to
bring ideas to life. I’m the kind of person who must try every technique in a medium, so I can fully
understand and master it. Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of crafts- from Pottery to glass
mosaic, panting, cake decorating, eco dying and more recently polymer clay.

Q: What kinds of pieces do you love making most, and where do you find your inspiration?

A: Earrings are my absolute Favorite to make. there’s endless freedom in how they can be designed
shaped and coloured – so I am never short of ideas.

Q: What does being part of the local shopping centre community mean to you?

A: Being part of our local shopping centre means so much to me, I genuinely love being part of a team –
it gives me a real sense of connection and purpose. I always love to come to work to connect and be
surrounded by people that support each other.

Q: How has running your business enriched your life in your 60s and beyond?

A: Running my own creative business on my 60s has been incredibly rewarding. It keeps, me
learning, growing and doing what I love every day. It gives me a strong sense of purpose and
independence. I wake up every morning with something to look forward to.

Q: What advice would you give to others, especially seniors, thinking about starting something new or creative?

A: My Advice is simple: Just start. Don’t wait for the perfect time or worry about whether you are too
old -because you are not. Creatively has no age limit. If something sparks your interest, follow it. Try
every technique, play, make mistakes, and enjoy the process
Starting something new later in life can be one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do. It keeps
your mind active, your hands busy, and your heart full. You don’t have to be perfect- You just have
to begin
