Retailer of the Year – Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is Gowings Coffs Central Shopping Centre, located at 35-61 Harbour drive Coffs Central.

2. Promotion Period

The promotion runs from February to 4th March at 5:00pm. Votes received outside this period will not be accepted. Winner will be announced 5th March 2026

3. Eligibility – Customers

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter, centre retailers, contractors, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter the customer prize draw.

4. Eligibility – Retailers

All permanent retailers operating within Gowings Coffs Central during the Promotion Period are eligible to receive votes. Kmart, Temporary kiosks and pop-up retailers may be excluded at the Promoter’s discretion.

5. How to Enter (Customer Voting & Prize Draw)

To enter, customers must during the Promotion Period:

  • Vote for their favourite retailer at Gowings Coffs Central by completing a paper voting form or submitting the online voting form via QR code; and
  • Provide valid contact details as requested on the entry form.

Limit of one (1) vote per person for the duration of the promotion. Multiple entries from the same person may be deemed invalid.

6. Prizes

Customer Prize:

  • One (1) customer will win $1,000 AUD, paid via Gowings gift card

Retailer Prize:

  • The retailer receiving the highest number of valid votes will be awarded:
    • $1,000 Gift Card, and
    • The title of Coffs Central Retailer of the Year, and
    • A featured editorial in Local Focus Magazine April edition (timing subject to publication schedules).
    • Website blog article features Gowings Coffs Central Shopping site.
    • Social media package and photos provided to your store 

Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.

7. Determining the Winners

  • Retailer of the Year will be determined by the total number of valid votes received during the Promotion Period.
  • The customer prize winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries.

The draw will take place on 5th March 2026 at Gowings Coffs Central head office 

8. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified via phone and/or email and a social post within 5 business days of the draw. If a customer winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw.

9. Reviews

Customers may be encouraged to leave online reviews for retailers; however:

  • Leaving a review is not a condition of entry.
  • Voting and reviews are separate processes.
  • Reviews must be genuine and based on real customer experiences.

The Promoter is not responsible for the content or moderation of third-party review platforms.

10. Privacy

By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for the purposes of administering the promotion and contacting winners. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

11. Publicity

By accepting a prize, winners agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities, including photography and publicity, without additional compensation.

12. General

  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
  • The Promoter may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion if circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of participating in the promotion or accepting a prize.
